Scaling Up: Get ready for 2018 Workshop

Many business owners start a business based on an entrepreneurial seizure because they have a great idea or they’re great at what they do. What they quickly realise is that they have more than a few gaps when it comes to growing a successful business.

In this full day workshop we’re going to give you the business tools and skills you need to scale and grow your business. It’s a day based on Verne Harnish’s best-selling book Scaling Up and his One Page Strategic Plan which Melissa uses in her businesses.

During the day we’ll complete the plan and help you master four fundamentals

1. Leading people: Take a page from parenting – establish a handful of rules, repeat yourself a lot and act consistently within those rules. This is the role and power of Core Values.

2. Setting Strategy: You don’t have a real strategy if it doesn’t pass two tests: first what you’re planning to do really matters enough to customers and second, it differentiates you from your competition.

3. Driving Execution: Set a handful of priorities (the fewer the better), gather quantitative and data daily and review weekly to guide decisions and establish an effective daily, weekly, quarterly and annual rhythm to keep everyone in the loop.

4. Managing Cash: Don’t run out of it! This means paying as much attention to how every decision affects cash flow as you would to revenue and profitability.

We’ll also look at rocks, KPI’s, critical numbers and at the end of the day you’ll have a clear vision for your year, for your quarter with actionable steps and priorities that you can take away and put into place immediately.

This one day workshop is the perfect way to kick off your best financial year yet and make 2018 amazing. It works best if you bring your senior team so it’s not just your head being utilised on the day!
